Emirates and Etihad Flights Affected by Strikes in Germany on February 1st

Emirates Airlines announced the cancellation and delay of its flights to and from Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Dusseldorf airports on Thursday, February 1, 2024, due to a strike by aviation security employees at German airports.

According to Emirates Airlines website, on February 1, the Hamburg-Dubai flight was canceled, as well as the flight to and from Frankfurt.

On February 2, the flight to and from Frankfurt will be delayed, along with the flight from Dusseldorf to Dubai and the flight from Hamburg to Dubai.

On the other hand, a spokesperson for Etihad Airways stated that flight disruptions between Abu Dhabi and Germany are expected on February 1, 2024. They explained that as a result of the strike carried out by German airport security employees, the Etihad Airways flight number EY2 from Frankfurt (FRA) to Abu Dhabi (AUH) has been postponed on the first of February.

They also mentioned that Etihad Airways flights will operate from and to Munich and Dusseldorf, as well as EY1 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Frankfurt (FRA) on February 1, 2024, as planned.
