On Saturday, China’s Ministry of Education announced about 2.53 million new jobs for Chinese university graduates this year, 2023, through a campaign to boost employment.
The Chinese Government called on provincial education authorities to help connect higher education institutions with companies, taking into account the main planning of higher education institutions and companies’ recruitment requirements.
At the same time, universities and colleges were encouraged to invite employers to campus recruitment activities and provide them with the necessary assistance.
To date, more than 1.45 million companies have provided nearly 35.1 million job information through 125 thousand on-the-ground employment activities nationwide, according to the Ministry.
The ministry added that it will organize a week-long special event to promote employment during May, with greater efforts to expand recruitment channels and provide guidance services to job-seeking graduates.
