The 29th edition of Gulfood 2024 kicked off on Monday at the Dubai World Trade Centre, amid great turnout, with the participation of more than 5500 exhibitors and companies, and expectations of over 150,000 attendees from 190 countries.
It features 24 halls showcasing advanced products and solutions, as well as interactive events including Top Table and Dubai World Food, which will bring together over 100 world-renowned chefs, including 25 Michelin-starred chefs.
Tracy Loh Mermand, Executive Vice President of Exhibitions and Events Management at Dubai World Trade Center, said: “Gulfood is the largest event for the food and beverage sector in the world, bringing together the global food community of industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators.”
More than 200 prominent figures from the global food and beverage industry, as well as entrepreneurs, are participating in this year’s Gulfood Inspire conference.
The conference focuses on technological trends (such as personal artificial intelligence), cultural and demographic trends, as well as lifestyle patterns and flavor trends that shape the future of the food world.
The Gulfood Inspire Conference sheds light on the future of food systems, including ways for the sector to adapt to consumer trends and emerging lifestyles, advanced sciences, including the role of generative artificial intelligence and blockchain technology in enhancing food security and developing new foods, and the advantages of digitization in research and development, food testing, and formulation.
The Gulf Food Exhibition also witnesses the launch of the Top Table event, where guests can meet some of the world’s most famous chefs and attend educational lessons directly from them.
Over 100 top chefs, including 25 Michelin-starred chefs, showcase more than 90 educational lessons where they present a variety of dishes from different international cuisines.
