Sales of new energy vehicles in China expanded by 110% year-on-year to 636 thousand units in April, data from the Chinese Society of Automobile Manufacturers showed.
Sales of new energy vehicles during the first four months totaled about 2.22 million units, up 42.8% compared to last year.
The data revealed that production of new energy vehicles in the country was 640 1,000 units last month, up 110% year-on-year.
As a leader in the consumption of new energy vehicles, China continued to implement supportive policies to maintain the development of its new energy vehicle market, especially in its vast rural areas.
