On Friday, government data showed Japanese factory output fell 1.6 per cent on a monthly basis in May, a drop greater than the market’s average forecast of one per cent.
According to the data, factories surveyed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry forecast an increase of 5.6 per cent in June and 0.6 per cent in July.
This comes as Asia is experiencing an economic and industrial crisis, in conjunction with Russia’s war on Ukraine.
