Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy said that trade between Kazakhstan and Turkey reached $3.9 billion from January to August 2023.
“Turkey is one of the largest trading partners of Kazakhstan; in 2022, the country ranked fourth in Kazakhstan’s trading volume,” Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy said.
“Exports from Kazakhstan to Turkey from January to August 2023 amounted to $2.6 billion,” the Ministry added.
In addition, exports of goods such as copper increased by 74.2% to $640 million, lead three times to $53 million, and wheat by 75% to $51 million.
Imports into Kazakhstan from Turkey rose from January to August 2023 by 51% and reached $1.4 billion.
“The increase in imports from Turkey is associated with an increase in the import of goods such as automobile structures, from $3 million to $67 million; women’s clothing, from $37 million to $59 million; and T-shirts and blouses, from $28 million to $59 million,” Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy said.
From 2010 to 2021, trade between Kazakhstan and Turkey ranged from $1.5 billion to $4 billion, of which Kazakhstan’s exports accounted for a significant share. and
In 2022, mutual trade between the two countries reached a record level in history: $6.3 billion.
