Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy, in cooperation with oil producers, continues to monitor compliance with its obligations under the OPEC + Agreement and consultations on further reducing oil production.
The Ministry stated that recent oil production has seen a decline in Kazakhstan for various reasons, including accidents, periodic and projected maintenance in the oil fields, which contribute to the implementation of Kazakhstan’s plans to comply with its obligations under the OPEC + production reduction agreement.
Kazakhstan will extend the voluntary cut in oil production by 78 thousand barrels per day by the end of 2024 as a precautionary measure with the approval of OPEC + member states, which announced a voluntary cut in oil production in April.
Saudi Arabia has decided to extend its voluntary oil production cut by 1 million barrels per day for another month to August.
