Kazakhstan may increase its oil exports to Germany to 2 million metric tons per year, according to Energy Minister Almasadam Sätqaliev.
The exact number of Kazakh oil supplies and their passage to Germany will be established following discussions with the Russian side, as the oil is carried via Russia’s Druzhba pipeline.
“During President Tokayev’s visit to Germany, the German side showed interest in increased oil supply from Kazakhstan,” Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Almasadam Sätqaliev said.
The Russian side is negotiating the unhindered transportation of Kazakh oil via its borders.
“Kazakhstan, on the other hand, is ready to increase its oil shipments to Germany,” according to Sätqaliev.
