Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister, Alikhan Smailov, announced that the Republic’s government will give priority to supporting agricultural production projects.
“In the coming years, priority will be given to meat, grain, milk and other raw materials processing projects. In particular, efforts will be made to disseminate North Kazakhstan’s experience to other regions on the implementation of major projects. Industrial projects in food and beverage processing,” Smailov said.
“Kazakhstan will continue to provide comprehensive support for agriculture development. At the same time, measures to increase the production of quality food and create new jobs are among the main objectives.” he added.
Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister also called for enhanced oversight of the effective use of state funds, as applied to the activation of available funds, the development of new support approaches, the qualitative selection of projects, and the observance of counter-obligations by commodity producers.
