Kazakhstan’s economy grew by 4.9% this year, according to Vice Minister of National Economy Azamat Amrin.
“According to the results of January–August this year, the growth rate of Kazakhstan’s economy was 4.9%. Of these, the real sector grew by 4.4% and the service sector by 4.8%. Positive dynamics are observed in all major sectors, especially construction and trade, as well as information and communication,” the Vice Minister said at the government meeting.
“Investments in fixed assets increased by 12.2%. The highest growth among the regions was observed in the Mangistau, Abai, Turkestan, and Pavlodar regions,” Amrin added.
“The foreign trade turnover in January–July 2023 increased by 5.7% and amounted to 79.5 billion dollars,” Amrin explained.
Exports amounted to 44.8 billion dollars, including the export of processed goods (14.2 billion dollars). The import of goods amounted to 34.7 billion dollars.
“In general, the positive trade balance is 10 billion dollars”, Amrin said.
