Kazakhstan’s processed uranium exports totaled $2.46 billion in the last ten months, up one-third from the previous year, according to the Republic statistics agency.
Between January and October of this year, Kazakhstan shipped the most uranium to China, totaling $922.7 million, a 2.2-fold increase over 2022.
Exports plummeted by 28% in October, totaling $258 million, a 9-fold decrease from the previous month.
Kazakhstan’s uranium shipments to Russia have exceeded $1.2 billion in the last ten months, up 72% year on year.
A rise in uranium shipments to China and Russia compensated for a drop in exports to Canada.
Over the last ten months, deliveries to Canada totaled $168.5 million (a decrease of 70% year on year).
