Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Avazbek Atakhanov, said at the meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Iran and Kyrgyzstan that the Republic needs foreign investments to implement major projects.
The Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan, Zalin Zeynaliev, also spoke at the meeting of the Committee about investment opportunities in the Republic.
Zeynaliev addressed local businessmen, thanking them for their contribution to the development of trade and economic relations.
“This meeting reflects the importance of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran,” he said.
He listed the main sectors of the national economy as follows:
- Industry
- Build
- Wholesale and retail trade
- Cultivation
“The main investment partners of Kyrgyzstan are Canada, China, Russia, Turkey, and the Netherlands,” Zeynaliev added.
“The growth of foreign direct investment in Kyrgyzstan by the end of 2022 increased by 25%, despite adverse trends in the global economy,” according to data.
The Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan noted that investors who conclude agreements with the Cabinet of Ministers may receive certain tax benefits.
“It is possible to conclude an investment agreement if the investor invests more than 10 million dollars in the economy,” Zeynaliev added.
“Kyrgyzstan has five free economic zones, through which tax benefits are provided to exporting and importing companies,” he said.
