Kyrgyzstan’s GDP has surpassed one trillion soms as of November 28, according to a dedicated counter on the Ministry of Economy and Commerce’s website, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov said.
The counter currently reads 1 trillion 21 billion soms.
On November 23, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov stated in parliament that the Kyrgyz Republic’s GDP will hit 1 trillion soms for the first time in the country’s history.
“In 2023, GDP per capita in dollar terms will reach $1,900. Compared to $1,665 last year, it indicates a $669 gain in the previous three years and a $311 growth in the ten years from 2010 to 2020,” Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, explained.
“These data clearly illustrate economic development and forecast much higher growth in the future, which will reach across all areas of social life and greatly raise the real quality of life of the population,” he added.
