Malaysia will provide visa-free entrance to Chinese and Indian residents for stays of up to 30 days beginning on December 1, according to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Malaysia’s Home Affairs Ministry stated in a statement on Monday that the visa exemptions will remain until December 31, 2024.
Malaysia’s fourth and fifth major sources of tourism are China and India.
According to government figures, Malaysia had 9.16 million visitor visits between January and June this year, including 498,540 from China and 283,885 from India.
