Goldman Sachs said that the pessimism of the markets about the prospects for economic growth in the USA provides a new opportunity to buy stocks.
The bank expects the US economy to remain resilient and companies in sectors such as financial services and semiconductors to remain in a relatively good position.
Goldman predicted that the S&P 500 index will end the current year at 4,500 points, which is slightly higher than the average expectations of analysts polled by Bloomberg.
The S&P index ended Friday trading at 4,117 points, a decrease of 10% from the highest level it recorded in 2023, which it reached in late July.
