Last week, German automaker Mercedes-Benz announced that it had delivered approximately 765,000 cars to its customers in China over the past year. The company highlighted a significant increase in the number of electric vehicles delivered annually, noting that this figure has more than doubled compared to previous years.
in Mercedes-Benz’s press release, it was mentioned that its luxury product line has been experiencing rapid growth. The company noted that the “Mercedes-Maybach” and “G-Class” models have seen annual increases of 21% and 22% respectively.
To enhance the online navigation experience for customers in China, Mercedes-Benz has launched fast-charging stations in several cities including Chengdu, Foshan, Qingdao, Chongqing, Kunming, Wuhan, Suzhou, and Changzhou. The company currently offers a comprehensive charging service with over 590,000 public charging points in more than 340 cities across China.
Oliver Britz, Vice President of the Sales Department at Beijing Mercedes-Benz, stated that the company would introduce more than 15 new car models to customers in China this year, with the models varying to include diverse categories and product ranges.
The company’s domestic research and development network currently spans both Beijing and Shanghai, with a thousand members of the R&D team employed in it.
