The media revealed that the Azerbaijan Railways Company is negotiating with the evolution series produced in Kazakhstan, to purchase 7 te33ac mainline diesel locomotives.
The company said that it is trying these negotiations for the purchase of 7 mainline diesel locomotives TE33AC series Evolution, produced at the plant of the American company Wabtec in Kazakhstan.
Where 8 years ago, the Azerbaijan company bought a TE33A Evolution diesel locomotive from Kazakhstan.
The company exported 29 railway locomotives worth 136.172 million dollars (234 million tenge) to Azerbaijan from foreign countries in 2022. 21 of them (worth 135.133 million dollars) (229,7 million AZN) were supplied from Kazakhstan. In addition, 6 locomotives worth 750,000 US Dollars (1, 27 million AZN) were purchased in Russia and two locomotives in Ireland worth 288,600 US dollars (490,620 thousand AZN).
