The governments of Pakistan and Tanzania have agreed to increase trade exchanges between the two countries to 400 million dollars a year by 2025, where the total value does not exceed 224 million dollars at the moment.
The ambassador of Pakistan to Dar es Salaam, Siraj Ahmed Khan, said in a press interview published today in Tanzanian newspapers on the occasion of Pakistan’s celebrations of the 76th anniversary of its independence, that the Joint High Committee between the governments of Tanzania and his country will be held monthly and on an exchange basis in the capitals of the two countries starting next October to discuss obstacles to activating trade movement between them, and give incentives to exporters and importers in line with the agreements to prevent double taxation, in addition to encouraging investments in the sectors of education, communications, culture, folk and traditional arts of the two countries through the exchange of delegations.
