The Pakistani foreign ministry said that the government has raised gasoline prices by 91.14 rupees (about 4 US cents) per liter, bringing the price to 36.305 rupees, to increase world oil prices.
Quoted by Bloomberg News from the statement, diesel will be provided at gas stations at a price of 84r311 rupees per liter until mid-September, an increase of 44r18 rupees per liter.
This price increase will make things difficult for Pakistanis, as the prices of all goods are likely to rise as a result.
