Gazprom’s CEO, Alexey Miller, said that Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan are planning to set commitments in gas supply and transit cooperation for 15 years.
“Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan plan to set commitments for cooperation on gas supply and transit by mid-2024,” Miller said at the International Gas Forum in Saint Petersburg.
“We have outlined our cooperation with our colleagues from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Those meetings and negotiations, which have already taken place or will be held at our current forum site, aim at signing memoranda with a view to establishing a legally binding contractual basis for cooperation with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan for 15 years by mid-2024,” he added.
According to Miller, Gazprom is expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan in all possible areas, including the oil industry and gas processing.
In addition to the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline system (CAC), Gazprom is ready to use other gas pipeline systems in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as new routes, both for gas supply to these countries and for transit.
