Saudi Arabia has expressed its readiness to strengthen economic, trade, and investment relations with Tajikistan.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Tajikistan’s Chairman of the National Assembly, Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, and Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, Executive Chairman of the Saudi Development Fund.
“Dushanbe highly appreciated the readiness of Saudi Arabia to invest in infrastructure, including the “Rogun” power plant,” according to the press office of the National Assembly.
“The Republic of Tajikistan highly appreciates the readiness of Saudi Arabia through the Development Fund to strengthen economic, trade, and investment relations, including participation in the financing of the strategic project of the Tajik hydroelectric power plant Rogun,” the press office of the National Assembly said.
Rustam Emomali expressed his satisfaction with the role of the Saudi Development Fund in the process of implementing development projects and social programs in the sectors of transport infrastructure, healthcare, and education in Tajikistan.
The parties expressed their interest in the implementation of infrastructure and investment projects in the city of Dushanbe.
