The UAE central bank’s gold reserves stabilized at a total of more than AED 17.1 billion by the end of August 2023, as the reserve remains 6.5% higher than recorded at the beginning of the year with a value of AED 16.05 billion.
The Gold Reserve is witnessing a slight upward and downward movement throughout the year, with its highest balance of AED 17.4 billion recorded at the end of the first quarter of this year, according to the central bank’s data.
The data also showed that the reserves maintained an increase of 33.5% over the period since the end of the pandemic year 2020, which reached AED12.862 billion in gold.
