Uzbekistan’s UzAuto Motors met the yearly quota for popular automobile models such as the Chevrolet Cobalt, Damas, and Labo in just two days. The sold-out versions will be produced in 2024 only for the Uzbek market.
UzAuto Motors said that on December 25 and 26, a stunning 171.2 thousand contracts for the delivery of automobiles in the following year were quickly concluded with enthusiastic purchasers.
The transactions were carried out using the UzAutoSavdo application and the website, allowing for an easy online purchase process.
Despite its success, the firm encountered periodic technical issues as a result of hacks throughout the online sales period.
“The UzAutoSavdo internet trading system was subjected to 7,000 cyberattacks.” During this period, the system registered more than 3 million active sessions. “At the same time, the company’s call center handled over 3,000 calls,” UzAuto Motors said in a statement.
The Uzbek government recently changed the laws governing the sale of new automobiles in an effort to fight “dealers” and provide equal possibilities for all buyers.
