“Zavqizoda asked the prime minister of Qatar, in his capacity as chairman of the board of directors of the Qatar Investment Board, to assist in the implementation of priority projects in the country, in particular in financing the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station,” according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan.
Among the priority projects that also need financial support, the Tajik Minister listed the construction of an international passenger and cargo airport in the Dangara district, the modernization of the Tajik aluminum company OJSC, the completion of the Dushanbe monastery residential complex, and the construction of high-rise buildings in Dushanbe and tourist infrastructure.
