The Islamic Development Bank has signed a USD 11.5 million financing agreement with the Republic of Tajikistan to support green and Rural Development in the Khatlon region.
The agreement aims to improve the management of water resources through various Islamic financing methods, including Murabaha, Ijara and participation systems.
It also seeks to enhance agricultural production, Rural Business Development, employ technical support, and build capacity in Islamic finance for the concerned parties.
The Islamic Development Bank announced that this agreement reflects the bank’s commitment to expand Sharia-compliant financing lines and provide microfinance to farmers and rural communities.
