Tesla withdrew all of its vehicles sold in China due to a defect in brakes and acceleration that could increase the risk of collision and safety.
It will publish a software repair to repair more than 1.1 million vehicles manufactured in Shanghai from January 2019 to April this year, along with some models imported into China.
Tesla’s renewable braking system, which uses the energy generated when drivers take their foot off the throttle, is used to slow down by sending the additional power to the vehicle’s battery for charging.
Earlier, US billionaire Elon Musk announced he was stepping down as CEO of Twitter.
The move is expected to allay the fears of Tesla investors, who have been increasingly concerned about Musk’s time to make changes to Twitter, while Tesla shares have jumped 2.4% on the news.
