The market value of Toyota, the largest car manufacturer in the world, reached a record level on Tuesday, amounting to 48.7 trillion yen or 328.8 billion dollars.
This is a record high for a Japanese company.
Toyota surpassed the previous Japanese record for highest market value based on closing price in Japan, which was 48.6 trillion yen, set by the telecommunications giant NTT on May 11, 1987, according to the Nikkei Daily Economic Newspaper.
Toyota’s stocks reached a new record in terms of market value for a Japanese company at the end of trading on Tuesday, January 23rd, and there was no significant change in the performance of Toyota’s stocks during Wednesday’s trading, with a 0.08% decrease to 2,988.5 yen. (Agencies)
