Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have reached an agreement to facilitate the transit of goods and fuel and improve maritime cooperation among them.
Officials from the country discussed maritime cooperation, particularly through the ports of Amirabad, Anzali and Caspian Sea.
During its participation in the twenty-sixth annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Iran stressed its keenness to cooperate with regional States in the transport sector.
It had submitted proposals to Russia and other Commonwealth Independent States to strengthen cooperation in various forms of transit, including by sea.
