The UAE successfully completed talks with the Republic of Mauritius to reach a comprehensive economic partnership agreement, the first of its kind for the UAE with an African country.
“The partnership paves the way for increased trade, investment flows, and bilateral cooperation between the private sector on both sides,” according to Emirates News Agency “WAM.”
“The partnership would be formally signed at a later date,” the agency added.
UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, said the partnership had “the potential to add a full 1% to the Mauritius economy by 2031 and to boost the UAE’s GDP by 1.2% in the same period.”
