Fitch Ratings Agency announced the withdrawal of Tashkent’s long-term credit rating in foreign and domestic currencies, which was at the “BB-” level with a “stable” outlook.
“Fitch withdrew the rating because Tashkent has chosen to stop participating in the rating process,” the Ratings Agency said in a statement.
“We no longer have sufficient information to review key credit factors, including fiscal and debt management policies,” the agency added.
The Fitch Ratings Agency indicated that it would no longer provide analytical assessments or reports on Uzbekistan’s capital.
Tashkent first received Fitch ratings in June 2019.
