The Central Bank of Japan said on Thursday that producer prices (Wholesale) rose last July by 0.1% on a monthly basis.
Analysts had expected prices to rise by 0.2% on a monthly basis after falling by 0.1% last June according to the revised data and by 0.2% according to preliminary data.
On an annualized basis, wholesale prices rose by 3.6% last month, while analysts expected them to rise by 3.5% after rising by 4.3% last June, according to the revised data.
Last month, Japanese export prices fell by 0.1% on a monthly basis and by 2.1% on an annual basis, while import prices fell by 0.4% on a monthly basis and by 15.6% on an annual basis.
