Zenith Energy, a company specializing in the exploration and production of oil and gas, has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding for the acquisition of oil assets in Kazakhstan, having entered into a period to evaluate the operation.
The company said, in a statement published on its website, that the targeted assets are located in the Atyrau region, and include an oil field that produced about 600 barrels per day before the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic.
The company added that it is seeking to conclude a final acquisition agreement before the end of November, and that it intends to resume production as soon as possible after the completion of the deal. She noted that this step is in line with its strategy of expansion in the Central Asian region.
